PerFect Records began in a garage in West Eugene, 1997. It was the want to start a collective, a group of bands not necessarily connected by genre but by a need to create a scene. The 3 bands producer Lance Miller worked with at this time were Metro, Flynn and Dim Fabian.

The 3 bands were about as different as it gets:
Metro- the Brit Rockers

Flynn- groovy stoner pop, ala Dave Matthews, Ben Harper and anyone else with a tabla player instead of a drummer, and a mandolin instead of lead guitar. Later, they added a real rhythm section that “Beat Hell out the Drums”.

Dim Fabian- Japanese Agit Pop. Posers supreme.

So the 3 bands would record in my garage/studio and play shows at local clubs, and whilst they each brought their own group of followers, there was also a great deal of cross-pollination.
Jeff from Metro and Jason from Flynn ended up in a side project with me which eventually became Snout. it was a very cool time, lots of really well attended shows, but like all good things fizzled as band members graduated or cut their hair.

Each band released their very first records on PerFect, and Snout has released 2 on PerFect.
